Copy Chief
With 30 years of
experience at agencies large and small, Ira has honed
his skills as a wordsmith, creating concepts and copy for
nearly every
type of product, in nearly every medium. Eschewing titles and
hierar-
chies in order to perfect his craft, he´s won awards for work
on People
magazine, the United Negro College Fund and New York Telephone
- to
name a few - even devising “We Deliver” for the U.S. Postal
Service, a
tag line still in use today. Other successes include “Escape
by Book” for
the New York Public Library, and “Get Watched” for Tourneau
timepieces.
At megaliths like Y&R, FCB and Ogilvy & Mather,
Ira has worked on a
plethora of accounts, from Bayer, Bufferin, Jell-O and Dentyne,
to
Johnson & Johnson, Clairol and Holiday Inn. At smaller
shops he´s tackled
everything from Ensure, Glucerna, Pravachol and Xenical,
to Citibank,
Forbes, NFLSunday Ticket and the Hartford-plus Web copy for
TunesGenie.com (a music site), Pedigree dog products, Elsevier
medical
publishers and Business Loan Express.
Ira has a Master of Science
in Journalism from Northwestern University. |
